Organizational design is a step-by-step process which promotes healthy aspects of workflow, procedures, culture, structures, and systems and realigns them to fit current business realities and goals. It then provides a framework to develop plans to implement the new changes. The process focuses on improving both the technical and people side of the business by aligning the structure of an organization with its objectives with the ultimate goal of improving efficiency, effectiveness, performance and enhancing its culture.

Performance management is the ongoing process of setting goals and objectives, observing performance, and giving and receiving ongoing coaching and feedback. It requires management to ensure employee activities and outputs are in alignment with organizational goals and consequently help the organization gain a competitive advantage. Performance management creates a link between employee performance and organizational goals and makes the employee’s contribution to the organization clear.

Training and development is a systematic process to enhance employee skills, knowledge, competency, awareness, and sometimes well-being with the expectation of increasing work performance and quality of life. It involves organizational investments to establish, maintain, and expand employee’ skills, knowledge, and competencies based on organizational needs and the needs of employees. While training and development are often used interchangeably, there are subtle differences.
